Ethel María Mariotto de Mirassou

Was born November 30 of 1935 in Saladillo, Buenos Aires.
She graduated as a teacher at age 16 and from then was devoted to the primary education, having carried out most of their educational career in the School No. 11 of the county of Saladillo, in which has been until her retirement as Principal of said school. She has occupied several positions in many cultural and educational entities of the city.
During the period 1973 to 1976 was Director ad-honorem of Culture of the Municipality of Saladillo.
During her administration was conformed the local chorus and began the theatrical group, by the same time were dictated classes in many areas of art.
Overthrown the constitutional government and dismissed Department of Culture, she would continue in the practice of the functions that quits after assuming in the Department of Culture.
She was associate founder of the group of Friends of the Letters, participating of innumerable literary shops.
She was part of the founder commission of the Museum and Historic Municipal Archive of Saladillo.
Participated in commissions of popular parties and community events.
She has collaborated with the Parish of Saladillo for the setting in scene and text of three autosacramentales.
Was columnist in the newspaper "La Mañana" of zonal circulation and the newspaper "El Argentino" of Saladillo.
She planned and presented innumerable cultural events, as presentation of books, art expositions, theatricals works, etc.
She collaborated with The Theater the Comedy as jury in the Patterns of.
She has been, and still is, jury in countless literary competitions.
Has been for more than ten years president of the Commission of the Library Popular Municipal Bartolomé Mitre of Saladillo. The Commission that presides has made a notable work in the task of acquisition of bibliography, maintenance of the operative level of attention and service to the reader and acquisition of f subsidies and donations of computers, software and educational element educational for the use of the community. The task developed in this sense is incessant, having achieved progressive goals, in the imminent construction, by the Municipality, of a new headquarters in order to harbor the texts and the innumerable educational and cultural activities that takes part in the library.
She have promoted the publication of diverse books, achieving by means of their personal work and of another, that numerous texts of several local authors were printed.
We could say, without place to doubts, that has participated in all activity of cultural type in and for the city, from her youth, in such way that all local informative synthesis mentioned her as a reiterated protagonist in those activities related with the culture and education.
On November 30 of 1998, the town of Saladillo through its representatives published the book "Songs for you" as reconnaissance to the notable and disinterested work delivered in favor of the culture.
In the life of Ethel Mariotto is not the more important what she has done or what she will do, but astonishing fact that she believes that the community where she belongs is capable of biggest achievements.
It is for it that day to day, hour to hour thinks of building the reality to fit her dreams, demanding all of us that, as her, we dream clear and achieves the most.
